LIP ENHANCEMENT
Frequently Asked Questions
Lip enhancement is a doctor-performed medical procedure that uses product to add definition, restore volume, or improve lip hydration. Suitability and expected outcomes are carefully assessed during consultation.
A gel-like substance is placed into specific areas of the lips to support shape, structure, or symmetry. This may help improve overall lip balance or restore features affected by age-related volume loss.
At our clinic, treatments are performed by Dr Hadges using a medically conservative approach. The aim is to maintain your natural features and proportions. However, outcomes vary and will be discussed thoroughly in your consultation.
Discomfort is typically minimal. A numbing agent is used before the procedure, and many products also contain anaesthetic to improve comfort during treatment.
Results generally last between 6 and 12 months, depending on the product used, individual metabolism, and how your body responds. A review or touch-up may be considered at an appropriate interval.
Results are visible immediately after treatment. However, mild swelling or bruising may occur, so the final appearance is best assessed once any post-treatment effects have settled — typically within 7–10 days.
All medical procedures carry risks. Potential side effects may include swelling, bruising, tenderness, or asymmetry. In rare cases, more serious complications may occur. All risks will be discussed in detail during your consultation with Dr Hadges.
Most patients return to normal activities shortly after the procedure. Swelling or sensitivity may persist for a few days. You’ll be provided with detailed aftercare instructions to support healing.
Yes, where appropriate. Lip enhancement may be part of a broader facial treatment plan, depending on your individual goals and medical suitability.
Costs depend on the volume of product used and the treatment approach. At Dr Hadges Medical Aesthetics, pricing reflects the expertise, quality of medical products, and personalised care involved. A full quote will be provided during your consultation.
To book a consultation, please contact the clinic by phone, via our website, or in person. All lip treatments begin with a one-on-one consultation with Dr Hadges to ensure the procedure is safe, appropriate, and aligned with your aesthetic goals.
