At Dr Hadges Medical Aesthetics, we understand that managing complex or chronic health conditions requires more than quick fixes or isolated appointments. With over 35 years of experience in general practice and a deep commitment to personalised medicine, Dr Stephen Hadges offers comprehensive, ongoing care for patients navigating multifaceted or long-term health issues.
Our approach is grounded in careful listening, thorough investigation, and coordinated planning, all delivered in a respectful, calm, and medically informed environment.
Common concerns
Complex Illness Management
Chronic Fatigue or Low Energy:
We assess the many potential contributors to persistent fatigue — including hormonal, metabolic, immune, and lifestyle factors — and create a medically tailored plan to support energy and resilience.
Unexplained Symptoms or Multisystem Complaints:
If you’re experiencing vague or overlapping symptoms that haven’t been clearly diagnosed, we take a detailed, whole-person approach to identify underlying patterns and support recovery.
Chronic Pain or Inflammation:
Ongoing pain often involves physical, neurological, and emotional components. We focus on reducing inflammation, improving function, and addressing the broader impact on your wellbeing.
Co-existing Health Conditions:
Patients with multiple diagnoses (e.g., autoimmune conditions, cardiovascular risks, hormone imbalances, and more) benefit from integrated care that addresses how these conditions interact and evolve over time.
Long COVID & Post-Viral Syndromes:
We support patients recovering from post-viral fatigue, respiratory issues, and lingering immune or neurological symptoms with medically monitored care plans tailored to your progress.

Frequently Asked Questions
Complex illness typically involves multiple systems or long-standing conditions, such as chronic fatigue, autoimmune diseases, persistent pain, hormonal imbalances, or ongoing unexplained symptoms that haven’t responded to standard care.
You’ll receive an extended, in-depth consultation with Dr Hadges or one of our General Practitioners, where your medical history, current symptoms, past investigations, and personal goals are reviewed. You’ll leave with a clear plan and next steps.
If you have them, previous test results, referrals, or imaging can be helpful. However, you do not need a referral to see Dr Hadges or one of our General Practitioners. We can also organise updated pathology or investigations if needed.
Initial appointments are generally longer (45–60 minutes or more), allowing time for a comprehensive review. Follow-ups are booked as needed to ensure continuity of care.

Yes. Our team of General Practitioners can prescribe and manage medications when appropriate, alongside other supportive strategies.
Absolutely. We value collaborative care and are happy to communicate with your existing specialists or allied health providers as part of your broader treatment team.
Most patients with complex illness benefit from ongoing review and adjustment of their plan over time. We tailor frequency of visits to your needs, with the goal of building long-term improvement, not dependency.
We consider your entire health picture, including physical symptoms, emotional wellbeing, lifestyle, and personal goals, to create a plan that fits your body, your life, and your pace of recovery.
To book a consultation, you can call our clinic, email our reception team, or submit an enquiry via our website. All complex illness appointments are conducted personally by Dr Stephen Hadges or our team of General Practitioners.
